Y1. Prepositions

Note the forms dit and deoc'h of the preposition da, and the forms ganin, ganit of the preposition gant, which are all stressed on their last syllable. Remember that dit and ganit are used in the 2nd person singular, while deoc'h and ganeoc'h are used in the 2nd person plural.

Y2. Article

Note that the article an is used before Aotrou, Itron, when talking about a person, but is not needed when talking directly to the person (as in Italian, Spanish...) :
Demat deoc'h, Aotrou Skouarneg.
Mat an traoù gant an Itron Skouarneg ?

Y3. Demat

This rather old term, found in ancient and modern literature, as well as in traditional songs, had ceased to be used in the Breton of Basse-Bretagne, where it was more common to use phrases concerning the weather or peoples' activities. The teaching of Breton has brought this term back into everyday use.
