A ring inscription

A ring inscription
Roger Knight, 2002-02-18 05:46:24
Hi! and G'day from Adelaide in South Australia, Australia.

I have for quite some time been trying to get a translation that is on one of the two shoulders of I ring I was given by a special and oftentimes generous girlfriend.

On the one shoulder is the inscription that I already know the translation of = 'time flies' spelt on the ring as tempusfypit (or tempus fugit in latin). I suspect that in view of the fact that the ring is also a sun timepeice (ie there is a hole in the band of the ring which when pointed on it's base towards the sun allows a shred of light from the sun to place itself upon the roman numerals inside the ring which are arranged to indicate the current time).
The uppermost or face of the ring comprises a classical celtic or gaielic flowing scroll design which I am told from one source denotes eternity or eternal time perhaps.

As The overall theme of the rings intriguing design seems to be all about time I wonder if anyone out there can translate the following; veiysumbyc. I should point out that the fifth letter is in fact an S reversed and may be a Z perhaps.
Can anyone help me?
I should be surprised if this ring is not commonly sold around the world. Whilst it is quite beautiful it is also a manly or womanly ring and it holds especial significance for me. If necessary I am quite prepared to photograph the ring if the problem is one that requires it.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
